Why this status

Minnesota's 94th Legislature passed SF 4760 (omnibus public safety bill, May 2026), which incorporates the prediction-market-ban language from SF 4511. The legislation would prohibit operating, hosting, or advertising prediction-market platforms in Minnesota (felony penalty), effective August 1, 2026 if signed. As of the research date, the bill is awaiting Governor Walz's signature. The standalone SF 4511 passed the Senate 56-10 on April 30, 2026.
